Promoting participation of under-represented families in research
This Impact Engagement Meeting is based on research findings of the project entitled “Engaging low-income families in education research: an interdisciplinary exploratory study”, funded by the Institute of Communities and Societies, Brunel University London. The project involved researchers from Brunel University London, University College London, University of Nottingham and Zheijiang University, China. During this meeting, researchers and stakeholders from NGOs and local authorities will discuss how to make research more impactful and beneficial to under-represented families. The long-term goal is to set up a network platform to connect researchers with schools, NGOs, local authorities and individual families for the purpose of promoting participation of under-represented families in education research.
