Panel Discussion
This panel discussion featured a Q&A with the audience and Dr Amal Khanolkar (KCL and UCL), Dr Lara Montefiori (UCL, Awen) and Monique Joy Raranga (Glasgow). This thought provoking discussion focussed on the need for research on queer issues within and outside Academia, so as to lead structured efforts to improve outcomes for queer individuals regardless of their place of work. The panel also touched on issues regarding the improvement of methods of combating covert discrimination within teams and in society at large. Another main point of discussion, was the need to involve people outside of the LGBTQ+ community to attend these events and participate in these discussions.
