Chemical Engineering in Physiology and Clinical Medicine | Spring Into STEM
At UCL, we understand how science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) are fundamental to the way we live our lives and shape so many of the things that we see and do every day. In this lecture, Prof David Bogle shows how chemical engineers have an important role to play in physiology and clinical medicine. Using the body's 'chemical factory' - the liver system - as an example, Prof Bogle discusses the need for systems approaches to modelling complex chemical and physical interactions at multiple scales in living systems through Chemical Engineering analysis.
