Recorded 18th May 2022 Shirley Community Primary School (north Cambridge) has been working with Cambridge Curiosity and Imagination (CCI) and the Eco-capabilities team since 2020. Together, they have been exploring the local nature reserve – Bramblefields – and exploring the impact of the CCI approach to creative adventuring in the outdoors on children’s wellbeing. IOE 120: Powerful voices: young people as active citizens in CPA research
Recorded 19th May 2022 Many colleagues in Curriculum, Pedagogy and Assessment (CPA) work and research in schools with children and young people, either as teacher educators, teacher developers or classroom researchers. CPA therefore has unique access to the children and young people in schools whom educational research and practice ultimately serves. The event examines the participatory nature of the Department's research and spotlight the power and skill of children and young people in schools to contribute to educational research impact.

Launch of UCL's Centre for Climate Change and Sustainability Education
The Centre’s mission is to transform the UK’s approach to teaching climate change and sustainability in schools. The first of its kind in the UK, it will conduct high quality research into climate change and sustainability education and use this to shape outstanding, free professional development for all teachers and school leaders. Recorded on Tuesday 26 April, national and international experts discuss the urgent need to equip teachers with the expertise needed to prepare young people for a climate altered future.
