Rehabilitation & Reintegration Support for Ex-Offenders in Singapore - YRSG

What employment support is out there for ex-offenders who have just left the prison system? What sorts of challenges and stigma do they face in finding meaningful employment? How can the wider community help ex-offenders on their journey of reintegration into society ? These are just some of the questions that will be answered in this edition of the Blue-Sky Thinking Seminar Series featuring Ms. J Raathiga, Assistant Director of Aftercare at Yellow Ribbon Singapore and chaired by Dr Lynne Rogers, Co-Director of the Centre for Post-14 Education and Work and Executive Committee Member of the ECJ. About Yellow Ribbon Singapore Formerly known as Singapore Corporation of Rehabilitative Enterprises (SCORE), Yellow Ribbon Singapore (YRSG) is a statutory board under the Ministry of Home Affairs. Their purpose is to help inmates and ex-offenders rebuild their lives and lower the recidivism rate through skills and long term career development, with an effective Aftercare support network.
