In response to the scourge of modern slavery, the UK Government passed into law the Modern Slavery Act in 2015. In addition to fighting conditions that lead to slavery within the UK, British businesses also must draft plans of how they plan to keep slavery and labour and human rights abuse out of their global supply chains.
