FOR GLOBAL EDUCATION

Keynote from Dr. April Biccum, National University of
Australia, Canberra
Global Education in Europe comparative perspective:
epistemology, methodology and politics
This presentation will situate research of Global
Citizenship Education (GCE) in Political Science and
International Relations. GCE has a peculiar relationship
to knowledge, research methods and epistemology since
it is both an object of rigorous academic research and a
practice which aims to shift the epistemological
capabilities of recipients. This presentation will highlight
what’s at stake for the rigour of research intended to
strengthen the success of GCE.
