Manufacturing The Future: Regenerative Medicine | Spring Into STEM

Manufacturing The Future: Regenerative Medicine | Spring Into STEM
There is a growing need for regenerative medicines to treat different diseases, and the requirement for industrial platforms to translate discovery to the market. In this session, Prof Qasim Rafiq and Dr Rana Khalife will include an overview of key unit operations in cell and gene therapy bioprocessing and discuss some of the challenges. Rana is a lecturer on the Manufacturing and Commercialisation of Stem Cell and Gene Therapies MSc programme and will be joined by Dr Qasim Rafiq to present the fourth of six taster lectures at UCL Biochemical Engineering, the UK's only university to have a department dedicated to this exciting and world-changing subject. Qasim and Rana will give a half-hour online lecture followed by a question and answer session.
