RESEARCH, EVIDENCE AND POLICY LEARNING FOR GLOBAL EDUCATION Keynote from Dr. April Biccum, National University of Australia, Canberra Global Education in Europe comparative perspective: epistemology, methodology and politics This presentation will situate research of Global Citizenship Education (GCE) in Political Science and International Relations. GCE has a peculiar relationship to knowledge, research methods and epistemology since it is both an object of rigorous academic research and a practice which aims to shift the epistemological capabilities of recipients. This presentation will highlight what’s at stake for the rigour of research intended to strengthen the success of GCE.
